South Korea Casino Levy Rise to 15% Would Cut Operator Profits by Up to 37%, Industry Warns
South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proposed raising the casino tourism fund levy from 10% to 15% of gross gaming revenue. Analysts estimate the change would cut profits at Paradise Co, GKL, and Kangwon Land by up to 37% and add roughly USD 35 million in annual sector costs.
