Swedish Study Finds 34 Percent of Young Female Gamblers Have Mental Health Disorders
A nationally representative Swedish study published in July 2026 found that 34 percent of female gamblers aged 18 to 26 have a concurrent mental health disorder, more than double the rate among male gamblers, as Sweden's online GGR grew 3.2 percent and total problem gamblers reached an estimated 350,000.
